Small walk in the Pentland Hills, 02/11/03

People:

Only me.

Practical informations:

Around 30min driving, depending on the road state (quite busy this sunday afternoon).
Maybe 300m of height gain, don't really know what is the starting altitude.

Conditions:

A small walk for a tired Anne after a week-end with a lot of parties! Departure sunday quite late, started walking at 3pm. But the light is beautiful with the sun going to sleep!
The walk start at the intersection between the A702 and the road to the Midlothian ski center. Take this road for a few meters, and then clim on the ridge to Caerketton Hill. The path continue to the top of Allermuir Hill (493m). From there, take another path which goes more to the north and finally joins the ski center, by walking under the ridge.

Conclusion:

Small but nice walk, and so now I've seen the ski slopes... urghh looks awful, I'll never go there to ski! :-) **
